Secondary Market Access (SMA) is a consortium of CDC's and financial companies that have organized to help 504 first mortgage lenders take advantage of the new SBA 504 first lien pool guarantee program that is set to begin in September, 2010.

 

SMA's primary organizer is Government Loan Solutions, Inc, a leading consulting company to the SBA lending industry.  SMA has partnered with major NY-based investment banks to purchase 85% participating interests of individual loans in order to form eligible loan pools.

SMA's role is to source transactions, package, audit, and facilitate funding on behalf of the Pool Originator.  SMA will be the point of contact for interested Sellers and will provide loan pricing bids, consultation, and assistance in all aspects of the new 504 pool guarantee program.
